Job summary

AOIA is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join the U.S. Army health care team, delivering high-quality care to Soldiers and families in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including pre- and post-operative care.

The position offers leadership training and a path toward board certification, with broad benefits and opportunities to support humanitarian missions. The role requires an MD/DO from an accredited school, a current US medical license, internship with GME, and U.S.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy from an accredited US school; foreign grads may apply with ECFMG.
  • Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico.
  • Eligibility for board certification.
  • Completion of at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship.
  • Between 21 and 42 years of age (waivers considered case-by-case).
  • U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality health care to Soldiers, family members and eligible beneficiaries in inpatient and outpatient environments.
  • Deliver care across pre- and post-operative settings as part of the Army Medical Corps.
  • Contribute to humanitarian missions and military readiness while upholding patient-first care.

As a Family Medicine Physician on the U.S. Army health care team, you'll help conserve the U.S. Army's fighting strength during humanitarian missions, contingency operations and peacetime by providing the highest-quality health care to Soldiers, family members and other eligible beneficiaries in both inpatient and outpatient environments and for both pre- and post-operative care.
