Job summary

SOMA MEDICAL CENTER PA in Ocoee, FL invites a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive family medicine services across diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics. The NP will conduct thorough assessments, diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, with emphasis on pain management and patient safety.

You will educate patients and families, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans, and document encounters accurately.

Qualifications

• Current US NP license and national NP certification (FNP or equivalent).
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Experience in clinical assessments and patient management in family medicine.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed clinical assessments and physical examinations to evaluate patient health status.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions in family medicine settings.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pain management strategies.
• Provide patient education on health promotion, disease prevention, and medication adherence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and safe patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and clinical interventions.
• Adhere to established protocols and guidelines to uphold patient safety and quality standards.
• Participate in continuous professional development and stay current with advances in nursing and medical practices.
