Job summary

Lifepoint Health is partnering with Independence Family Care in Independence, VA, to recruit a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner for outpatient primary care. The role features a Monday–Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with potential for a four-day workweek and Friday coverage as required.

Expect about 20 patients daily with shared after-hours call (1:7). Virginia autonomous practice authorization is required to practice in this community.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner license/credential in Virginia.
• Family medicine clinical skills and care.
• Ability to manage a primary care patient panel.

Responsibilities

• Provide family medicine services to an established patient panel.
• Manage preventive and acute care within outpatient setting.

Position Details

Hospital-employed, outpatient primary care opportunity at Independence Family Care in Independence, Virginia, joining one established APP. Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; flexible scheduling and a four-day workweek may be considered. Friday coverage required. Established patient demand, with approximately 20 patients per day. Shared after-hours clinic call (1:7). Virginia autonomous practice authorization required.
