Job summary

A community-focused healthcare organization in southeastern Colorado seeks an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive primary care and assist with emergency department coverage.

You will deliver outpatient primary care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, conduct examinations, diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, and develop individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with active licensure
• Experience in primary care and rural settings
• Ability to provide ED coverage and rapid assessment

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient primary care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Conduct examinations, diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, and develop care plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and provide preventive care education
• Assist with emergency department coverage as part of the provider schedule
• Stabilize and manage urgent and emergent cases
• Coordinate transfers to higher levels of care
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health team members

• Maintain a broad scope of practice in a supportive rural environment
