Job summary

Tom Trese is seeking a Family Medicine Faculty Physician to join an academic outpatient program. This role combines direct patient care with teaching, supervision, and mentorship of residents across the full scope of practice, including obstetrics.

You will work in a collaborative environment alongside residents, faculty colleagues, and interdisciplinary teams in-person. The position emphasizes medical education, resident mentorship, and delivering high-quality, community-focused family medicine

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
• Active state medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Experience or strong interest in teaching and resident supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a family medicine continuity clinic.
• Supervise and mentor family medicine residents in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Precept residents regularly, supporting clinical skill development and patient management.
• Participate in clinical sessions (3-4 half-days per week) with integrated resident supervision.
• Provide inpatient attending coverage for family medicine services several times per year.
• Perform and supervise family medicine procedures, including obstetrics as applicable.
• Participate in resident education through didactics, curriculum development, and advising.
• Engage in scholarly activities, quality improvement, and academic program development.
• Collaborate with faculty, residents, and interdisciplinary clinical teams.
• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across preventive, acute, and chronic conditions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with clinical and academic standards.
