Job summary

Commonwealth Medical Services seeks a Family Medicine with Ob/Gyn physician to provide care for clinic patients, inpatients, and obstetric patients in Texas. You will consult on emergencies and coordinate referrals with mid-level practitioners, while helping develop policies and supervise clinic staff.

Excellent compensation with production bonus, paid malpractice, vacation and CME; call coverage is limited to one week per month. The practice offers a supportive, patient‑centered environment.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from US medical school; board eligibility/board certified.
  • Effective communication; leadership and management abilities.
  • Texas medical licensure required before starting.
  • Residency completed; no unresolved malpractice suits or complaints.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive family medicine including OB, pediatrics, geriatrics, and inpatient/outpatient care.
  • Be available for consultations and emergencies; coordinate with mid-level practitioners.
  • Oversee clinic medical staff and ensure policy adherence.
  • Review and co-sign orders for prescription drugs per clinic policies.

Family Medicine with Ob/Gyn
JOB SUMMARY:
  • Provide physician services to patients of the Clinic, inpatient, and OB patients
  • Be available for consultation, assistance with medical emergencies and referral by the Mid-level practitioner
  • Assist with the development, carrying out and periodic review of clinic policies, protocols and collaborative practice agreements
  • Review and co-sign all patient records containing orders for prescription drugs and others as stipulated in the clinic policies and procedures
  • Provide medical supervision of all clinic medical staff including mid-level practitioners as needed
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education:

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from accredited United States Medical School.

B. Personal Job-Related Skills:

Effective oral and written communication skills. Skilled in counseling, leadership and management abilities.

C. Licensure, Registry or Certification:

Must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Texasprior to beginning employment.

D. Experience:

Completion of residency required. Applicant may not have any unresolved malpractice suits pending against him/her and shall not have any unresolved complaints on file in any state where he/she has license to practice medicine. Computer literacy required..

Practice a full range of Family Medicine including:

Obstetrics, Procedures, Surgeries, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, inpatient and outpatient medicine.
