Job summary

The Iowa Primary Care Association, Inc. is actively recruiting a Family Medicine Physician to provide primary care at a vibrant FQHC in Waterloo, Iowa. You will deliver a mix of well visits, acute care and chronic disease management across all ages.

Clinic hours are Mon–Fri with an occasional evening; 5-day schedule with one evening per week and light call. See 12–14 patients daily in a collaborative team, with Epic EMR support and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care across all ages with well visits, acute care and chronic disease management.
• See 12–14 patients per day in a community health center setting.
• Collaborate with a team including physicians, NPs and PAs; operate within an Epic EMR environment.

Description

The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting a Family Medicine Physician provide care at a vibrant community health center (FQHC) in Waterloo, Iowa! This role performs primary care to the community providing a mix of well visits, acute care, & chronic disease management throughout the age spectrum.

What is a community health center (FQHC)?

The largest source of comprehensive primary care for underserved communities and populations.

With an integrated care model that includes medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services, patients can access comprehensive, coordinated services often under one roof.

Role Details:

• Clinic Hours: Mon, Tues, Fri 8am-5pm & Wed, Thur 8am-8pm
• Schedule: 5 day work week with 1 evening per week (11:30a-8p); light call schedule with 1:6 nights/weekends for outpatient, Urgent Care, & rural patients
• Sees on average 12-14 patients per day
• Provider team includes: 5 physicians (including the Co-Medical Director), 6 Nurse Practitioners, 2 Physician Assistant. This location also includes an OB clinic with 1 OB-GYN and 1 Certified Nurse Midwife
• EHR: Epic
