Job summary

Matter Family Office seeks a Family Learning & Communication Lead to drive multi-year learning and communication work for UHNW families. You will guide family meetings, craft long-term plans, and train client teams while shaping Matter's service line and strategic initiatives.

You will develop content with internal and external experts, publish resources to build trust, and contribute to client education and industry events, advancing the firm’s mission and practice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years working with multi-generational families and/or executives on communication, culture, governance, family dynamics, and/or succession planning.
• Background in industrial psychology, coaching, family business consulting, meeting facilitation, or a similar discipline preferred.
• Deep curiosity about UHNW families with a pragmatic and empathetic approach.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
• MA, PhD, MSW, or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and support family meetings, communication training, multigenerational planning, and governance.
• Direct multi-year family learning and communication work and develop long-term plans for each family.
• Partner with client teams on strategic plans for developing each family's human capital.
• Develop content with Matter families and employees.
• Publish and distribute content that builds trust and preparation skills.
• Contribute to Matter's blog, newsletters, and the broader industry.
• Serve on the Family Learning & Communication committee and train client teams.
• Support industry events and business development as needed.

Job Description

The Family Learning & Communication Lead is a core contributor to Matter's Family Learning & Communication service line and to the firm's long-term vision. You work with client families and their teams to direct multi-year learning and communication work, facilitate family meetings, and build long-term learning plans for each family. You also serve on the Family Learning & Communication committee, help train Matter's client teams, and take part in strategic initiatives that help Matter innovate and evolve its practice.
