Cordell & Cordell in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Family Law Paralegal to draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other documents, manage case calendars and deadlines, and communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of family law paralegal experience, an associate degree in paralegal studies, strong Word/Outlook/Excel skills, and proficiency with legal software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of family law paralegal or legal assistant experience.
• Associate's degree in paralegal studies or equivalent.
• Proficient typing and computer literacy with Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Experience with legal software and case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents.
• Prepare financial disclosures, child support worksheets, and parenting plans.
• Manage case calendars, track deadlines, and ensure timely filings.
• Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel professionally.
• Edit drafts for client changes and prepare documents for signing.
• Handle sensitive client data with discretion, care, and accuracy.
• Perform tasks with accuracy and promptness, meeting deadlines.
