Hocker Law, a growing Indianapolis-area firm, seeks a Family Law/Domestic Relations associate with 2+ years of experience. You will handle core family law matters such as divorce, custody, and support while gaining exposure to related practice areas like real estate and civil litigation.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Indiana law license or eligibility for admission to the Indiana Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of legal experience, preferably in private practice.

Responsibilities

• Represent and advise clients in family law and related matters based on experience and firm needs.
• Manage legal matters from initial consultation through resolution with support from attorneys and staff.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other documents.
• Conduct legal research, analyze issues, and develop practical client-focused solutions.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, hearings, and court proceedings as applicable.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas.
• Manage multiple matters, deadlines, and client expectations.
• Maintain accurate and timely billing practices per firm policy.
