Job summary

Stange Law Firm, PC is seeking a Family Law Attorney to join our Lawrence, Kansas area team. You will manage family-law matters from inception through resolution, work directly with clients, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in court.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active Kansas law license in good standing.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Family law experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage family law matters from inception through resolution.
• Advise and communicate regularly with clients.
• Draft pleadings, motions, judgments, orders, and discovery.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Attend court appearances, conferences, mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively for clients.
• Maintain organized and accurate case files.
• Record billable time consistently and work with team.
