Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Bar license required.
• Minimum 1 year of family law experience.
• Strong legal writing, research, negotiation and communication skills.
• Desire to build a long-term family law career.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters.
• Courtroom or litigation experience preferred.
• Judicial clerkship experience preferred.
• Senior-level family law attorneys are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage family law matters with guidance from experienced attorneys.
• Represent clients in divorce, custody, alimony, and equitable distribution.
• Assist with court appearances, motions, hearings and negotiations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, agreements, discovery and settlement documents.
• Communicate with clients regarding sensitive issues.
• Handle matters involving business owners and complex assets when appropriate.
• Draft and negotiate prenuptial and other marital agreements.
• Assist with domestic violence and related family law matters.
• Manage deadlines and client communications efficiently.
• Collaborate with attorneys while developing greater independence and ownership of matters.

Location: This position is based primarily on-site in Red Bank, New Jersey, with court appearances throughout the state. Limited remote flexibility is available while maintaining the collaboration and client service of an office-based practice.

Note: Candidates must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey and have 1+ year of family law experience. A genuine interest in continuing to build a career in family law is essential. Judicial clerkship experience is preferred but not required.

• Draft pleadings, motions, agreements, discovery, settlement documents, and other family law filings.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding sensitive legal, financial, and parenting issues.
• Work on matters involving business owners, complex assets, income analysis, and financial experts when appropriate.
• Draft and negotiate prenuptial and other marital agreements.
• Assist with domestic violence and related family law matters.
• Manage deadlines, case responsibilities, and client communications efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with our attorneys while developing greater independence and ownership of matters.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Bar license required.
• 1+ year of family law experience required.
• Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
