Job summary

Protouch Staffing's client, a distinguished multi-service law firm headquartered in downtown San Jose, seeks a Family Law Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of private-firm experience and an interest in advising clients across a broad range of family law issues.

This role represents clients before judicial officers and in mediations, drafts pleadings and financial disclosures, and collaborates with the family law group to achieve favorable results.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the State Bar of California.
• 4+ years of legal experience in family law.
• Ability to handle client matters independently.
• Collaborates with attorneys and experts to plan case strategies.
• Excellent written and oral communication in court settings.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in family law cases including financial issues, custody, and domestic violence.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience practicing law in a private firm setting and a demonstrated interest in providing advice and counsel to clients with a broad spectrum of family law issues. Successful candidates will have experience representing clients before judicial officers and in mediations, drafting discovery, drafting pleadings, preparing financial disclosures, working with experts, and conducting settlement negotiations. This person will collaborate with others in the family law group to achieve the best possible results for our clients.

Requirements

• 4+ years of legal experience and a demonstrated interest in Family Law
• Demonstrated ability to handle client matters independently and effectively
• Proven ability to collaborate with other attorneys and experts to identify legal issues and plan case strategies

Key Responsibilities

Location:

This position can be based in any of our offices: Silicon Valley (downtown San Jose), Tri-Valley (Pleasanton), or Peninsula (San Mateo). Travel between locations may be necessary.

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $225,000. This range reflects the firm's good faith estimate of potential compensation, which may vary based on experience, qualifications, and skill set.
