Job summary

Youth Villages is seeking a Family Intervention Specialist to support at‑risk youth and families in home and community settings. The role involves direct family sessions, ongoing assessments, and coordinating care with other providers, courts, and team members. A driver’s license and flexible scheduling are required.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of 4 to 6 families.
• Hold individual and family sessions with each family 3 times weekly.
• Conduct ongoing youth assessments from a strength-based perspective.
• Attend three weekly meetings for professional development and booster trainings.
• Travel up to 60–80 miles to meet families in homes and communities.
• Collaborate with providers, case workers, and courts to plan treatment.
• Provide on-call crisis support and document in EMR system.

It is one of the first programs to receive the well-supported designation from Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse developed in accordance with the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) having been shown to reduce out-of-home placements and accelerate permanency for children.This program serves youth from birth to age 18 who are facing serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, such as abuse or neglect.
