Easterseals Vermont is seeking a Family Engagement Assistant to help transport children and parents to essential services and to support safe, productive time for families in office and community settings.

You will work closely with the Department of Children and Families - Family Services Division. A strong communicator who documents work and collaborates with a team is ideal. Training and supervision are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; minimum age 18.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, background check.
• Own vehicle with adequate insurance required.

We are looking for a Family Engagement Assistant to join our team! Our work is challenging, but we strive to create strong teams and love to learn and laugh together! As a Family Engagement Assistant, responsibilities include transporting children and parents to needed services as well as providing supported contact for children and parents within office and community settings, to allow separated families to have safe and productive time with each other. In addition, Family Engagement Assistants may call family members when youth come into DCF custody, to assist in the development of a support network for those youth and their families. While we work closely with Department of Children and Families - Family Services Division, we have our own separate and comfortable offices!

An ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills (phone and in-person), be able to document work completed and be a strong team player. Training and supervision are provided.

Qualifications

• This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent. (Minimum age of 18 years old.) An Associate's Degree and experience in Human Services is preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting are required.
• Your own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits is required.

Hours

This is a full-time position, 30-40 hours per week. We can consider candidates interested in part-time, if desired.

Compensation

$19.80 -20.80 hourly, based upon experience.
