Job summary

Sevita is seeking a bilingual Family-Centered Specialist to support children and youth (ages 3–21) in homes and community settings as part of the CBHI program. You’ll coach caregivers, help implement treatment plans, and promote family stability with short-term goals aligned to DCF service plans.

Primary duties include coaching families, teaching practical skills, and documenting progress for FCC oversight, with a typical schedule in the afternoons/early evenings and a base salary around $52k

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Experience: At least 1 year working with children, adolescents, or transition-age youth in a clinical or community setting.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for local travel.
• Comfortable working in homes and community settings with a short-term stabilization focus (typical episode: 9–12 weeks).

• Help families navigate resources and maintain stability—particularly those at risk of separation.

• Participate in weekly supervision to review progress, troubleshoot barriers, and refine strategies.
• Document services accurately and on time; communicate regularly with the FCC and care team.
• Work a schedule that often includes afternoons and early evenings to meet family needs.

About The Role

As a Family Centered Support Specialist, you’ll work directly with children and youth (ages 3–21) and their caregivers in homes and community settings. In partnership with a Family-Centered Clinician (FCC) who creates the treatment plan, you’ll bring that plan to life—coaching caregivers, teaching practical skills, and supporting the family’s ability to thrive together. Also, to work with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF), Safe and Stable Family Services helps families achieve the specific goals outlined in their official DCF service plans, preventing out-of-home placements or helping youth transition back home

What You’ll Do

• Provide hands-on, skills-based support to children/youth and caregivers in home, school, and community settings.
• Implement the FCC’s treatment plan; reinforce strategies that build daily living, social, and coping skills.

• Review the FCC’s plan and your visit schedule.
• Meet a caregiver after school to practice behavior-support routines.
• Coach a teen in the community on communication and problem-solving skills.
• Check in with the FCC during supervision to adjust approaches and next steps.
• Complete brief, timely documentation before wrapping up the day.
