Job summary

HomeCentris is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our in-home care team in Frederick, MD. You will assist clients with daily living activities, provide personal care, and offer companionship in their homes, helping them maintain independence and comfort.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly in English, is reliable, and has a high school diploma. Prior caregiver experience, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license are preferred to ensure safe transport and quality care for our

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous caregiver/home health aide experience preferred.
• Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication.
• CPR certification and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Medication Reminders: Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management as needed, following client-specific care plans and instructions.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to clients' dietary preferences and restrictions, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met.
• Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, sweeping, mopping, and tidying up living spaces, to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Companionship: Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in conversation, recreational activities, and cultural interests to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with clients and their families in English to ensure clear understanding of care needs, preferences, and instructions.
• Transportation: Escort clients to appointments, errands, and recreational activities as needed, using reliable transportation and adhering to safety protocols.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including daily activity logs, medication administration records, and any changes or observations in clients' health or behavior.
