Job summary

Child Guidance Resource Centers (CGRC) seeks therapists for its Family Based Services to deliver in-home and community-based therapy on a two-clinician team. Therapists address child emotional struggles and systemic factors to drive long-term positive change beyond the office.

We use talk, play, art, CBT and other evidence-based interventions to reach treatment goals, with supervision, training, leadership development, flexible class options, and internship opportunities within CGRC.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in counseling psychology, social work or related behavioral health field.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience working with children and families in a mental health, education, child welfare or juvenile justice system.
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.

  • Incorporates understanding of the service system, including ongoing changes, into practice;
  • Constructs the Therapeutic System;
  • Establishes a meaningful Therapeutic Focus;
  • Creates Key Growth Promoting Interpersonal Experience;
  • Solidifies and Extends Changes;
  • Creates effective networks inside and outside of the agency in order to reach mutual goals on behalf of client care;
  • Incorporates understanding of the service system, including ongoing changes, into practice;
  • Skillfully and professionally builds and nurtures a team partnership that supports effective Family Based treatment.

Education

Job description

CGRC’s Family Based Servicesis a 32-week process. Families are assigned a team of two Master’s level clinicians who work closely with clients in the home, school and community to address not only the child’s emotional struggles but also the larger systemic issues contributing to troublesome behavior. The flexibility of being in the home and the community allows therapists the address the root of the struggles and create long-term positive change. Without the limits of an office, the therapeutic possibility multiply!

CGRC’s Family Based Servicesprogram is for you. Therapists use a variety of clinically based interventions such as talk, play, art, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other strategies to help you and your child reach the agreed upon treatment plan goals.
