Texas Department of Family and Protective Services is seeking a Family Based Safety Services worker to support families after investigations. The role involves crisis response, home-based services, and safety planning to keep children safe at home.

Responsibilities include assessing risk, coordinating with law enforcement and community resources, and maintaining documentation. Travel and irregular hours may be required as part of serving families across regions.

Responsabilités

• Responds quickly in crisis situations.
• Provides time-limited in-home services to address family needs and reduce risk to children.
• Assesses child safety and takes actions to protect the child, including removal when needed.
• Interacts with caretakers who have harmed children in care.
• Identifies resources and community support for families.
• Develops treatment plans and follows up with families to ensure safety.
