Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to move through civil litigation.
• Organize and maintain client files.
• Attend court proceedings to represent clients.
• Prepare legal documents (pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, orders) for a high volume of cases.
• Manage division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings.

Our law group is growing, and we are looking for a sharp family attorney who will zealously represent clients in all areas of family law. We seek someone who shares our commitment to preparation and courtroom advocacy.

The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a desire to handle substantive litigation—from developing evidence and drafting motions to examining witnesses and presenting arguments at hearings and trial. You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations, such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support.

The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. Compensation

$100,000 yearly

Qualifications

• Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred
• At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property) is necessary
• Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association)
• Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case
• Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations

Responsibilities
