Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools seeks a Field Hockey Assistant Coach for Woodgrove High School. The season runs in Fall: August through November, with responsibilities to support the head coach and athletic department.

CPR and First Aid training are required or in progress; prior coaching or teaching experience is preferred. This position emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and promoting school pride and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities

To work cooperatively with the head athletic coach to operate a well structured program.
To work cooperatively with the athletic department.
To attend all staff meetings prescribed by the head athletic coach during the season.
To carry out specific duties designated by the head athletic coach.
To recommend equipment and supplies needed for the implementation of a sports program.
To recommend disciplinary actions regarding players violating rules and procedures.
To foster pride, sportsmanship, and school/community spirit among athletes.
To perform other duties related to the position as requested by the high school principal or athletic director.
