Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. in Fall River, WI is seeking an Assembly Lead to oversee daily activities on the assembly line and mentor the workforce. Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, you will ensure quality, efficiency, and safety while guiding assemblers and coordinating parts.

The role emphasizes teamwork, hands-on training, and meeting production goals. A $1000 signing bonus and opportunities for advancement are included in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate with other departments.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Good finger and hand dexterity.
• Experience in manufacturing and mechanical assembly is helpful.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in directing and assisting assemblers.
• Prepare work by gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Coordinate orders with material handling and Production Control to ensure readiness.
• Position parts by templates or measurements.
• Assemble components and verify fit by inspection.
• Measure to verify specifications of completed components.
• Provide schedule input to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and follow procedures.
• Maintain supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
• Conserve resources and document actions.
• Contribute to team effort; perform related duties as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
