Bainbridge-Island-Metro-Park- Recreation Department is seeking a dedicated Recreation Instructor to plan, instruct, and lead classes and activities for a range of participants. You will ensure safety, apply lesson plans, and adapt activities to accommodate different ages and abilities.
The role requires strong leadership, reliable attendance, and the ability to work with diverse groups while maintaining high safety standards; in‑service training and ongoing certification are expected.
The Recreation Instructor ultimately responsible for planning, class instruction, and leading activities for specific classes.
This is a non‑smoking workplace. Depending on the specific program, work is performed both indoors and outdoors using Park District, public or private facilities or in the water or recreational areas. Though most programs operate during the day, a few programs meet in the evenings and/or overnight. Programs and trips may be out of reach of cell phone coverage.
