Job summary

The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) offers a fall internship program that is in-person with on-site work on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays at the BPC office in Washington, DC. Interns will work 18-20 hours per week and receive a $3,000 stipend for ten weeks of work. The program starts Monday, September 14, 2026, and ends Friday, November 20, 2026.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program or a recent graduate.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Interest in fiscal and economic policy topics such as tax policy, retirement savings, and federal budget policy.
  • Experience with data analysis and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Support long-term policy projects and papers by conducting background research and writing
  • Draft blog posts and assist staff in preparing responses to Hill and media requests
  • Monitor major congressional activity, analyzing budget documents
  • Take notes at Congressional hearings and external events
  • Event planning, program management, and administrative tasks
