Job summary

General Galactic in Los Angeles is seeking a student intern to join our propulsion hardware team, collaborating with engineering to support design, testing, fabrication, integration, and flight campaigns as we scale our hardware for next‑gen missions.

You are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science, thrive in a fast-paced startup, and can work under US export control requirements.

• Work with engineering on propulsion hardware development, testing, or supporting flight systems.

Responsibilities may include:

• Work directly with our engineering team on propulsion hardware development, testing, or supporting flight systems (specific scope depends on discipline/background)
• Support design, analysis, fabrication, integration, and/or test campaigns
• Help build and document processes as we scale our flight hardware
• Get exposure to the full stack of a growing startup

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, or a related field
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, early-stage startup environment

This position requires access to information protected under US export control laws, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations.
