Job summary

Hoar Construction is recruiting for an Internship Program for Fall 2027. Students in civil/construction engineering or building sciences will gain exposure to estimating, project management, and field operations.

Applicants should be enrolled full-time, maintain a 2.5+ GPA, and be prepared to work 40 hours weekly during the spring semester. This internship offers early career experience with a respected contractor in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Building Science.
• Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher.
• Able to work 40 hours per week during the spring semester.
• Completed college freshman year.
• Desire to pursue a career in the construction industry after graduation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Gaining an understanding of the construction process.
• Participating in quantity takeoff/quantity estimating.
• Working with the submittal process: maintaining logs, reviewing and approving shop drawings/submittals.
• Preparing transmittals for distribution for project documentation.
• Assisting in jobsite setup, permitting, and closeout.
