Job summary

Yondu is seeking an intern to work hands-on with our robots. You’ll contribute to production code in C++ and Python, tackle projects, and build software that runs on real robots in our autonomous navigation stack.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, learning ROS2, Linux, and hardware interactions while delivering practical improvements to our robotics platform.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in CS, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong C++ and Python skills.
• Linux experience; comfortable with Ubuntu and command line.
• Interest in software interacting with hardware (sensors, motors, embedded boards).
• Experience with Git contributions in a team setting.

• Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a degree or recent grad in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong grasp of C++ and Python.
  • Linux experience, comfortable working in a command-line environment (you know your way around Ubuntu).
  • You have an interest in how software interacts with physical hardware (sensors, motors, or embedded boards like Raspberry Pi/Jetson).
  • Experience with Git contributions and Git best practices in a team environment
• Nice To Haves:
  • Experience with ROS2
  • Experience using Docker
  • Past projects in computer vision, autonomous navigation, motion planning, or other robotics-related domains
