Job summary

Freese and Nichols invites students to join its Summer 2027 Internship Program in Raleigh, NC. You’ll contribute to meaningful projects alongside engineers, gaining hands-on experience in civil, environmental, and water resources disciplines.

Internships span practice areas including Transportation, Urban Planning, Stormwater, Water Resources, Water/Wastewater Master Planning, and more, with networking and mentoring opportunities throughout the summer.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a BS or MS degree in one of the majors listed above.
• Graduation date of August 2027 or later.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams with calculations, analysis, and design
• Help prepare plans, reports, and other project deliverables
• Collect and analyze project or field data
• Work with experienced engineers to review your work and build your technical skills
• Use software and tools to help solve real project problems

A note about housing: Relocation and housing stipends are not provided for internship opportunities.
