Qualifications

• Must have a strong and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, evident in life and work.
• Prior coaching experience and/or collegiate basketball playing experience preferred.
• Ability to mentor student-athletes in faith, basketball skills, character and life skills.
• Demonstrate knowledge of basketball fundamentals, team concepts, rules and strategies.
• Engage effectively with students and families to reassure families in Cherry Hills Christian.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct organized basketball practice sessions.
• Teach and develop fundamental skills, team concepts, sportsmanship, discipline, and game strategy for middle school athletes.
• Practice Mondays–Thursdays 3:45 pm–5:15 pm; game days vary.
• Prepare the team for games while emphasizing teamwork, effort, sportsmanship, and Christ-like character.
• Distribute and collect uniforms and equipment.
• Communicate clearly with players and parents about schedules and policies.
• Provide mentorship and encouragement to student-athletes on and off the court.
• Collaborate with Athletic Director regarding scheduling and team needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics.
• Uphold the school mission, values, and faith statement.
