Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) in Dayton, OH, is seeking a candidate for a full-time term appointment not to exceed three years in the excepted service. The appointment may be extended in increments thereafter.

The AD-03 level requires a terminal degree in a social science field relevant to the DSCU mission and at least five years of experience in security cooperation, plus peer‑reviewed scholarship.

This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU), This is a full-time term appointment in the excepted service not to exceed (NTE) three (3) years. Term appointments may be extended thereafter in one, two, or three year increments, indefinitely. As a term employee you will be eligible for medical and dental benefits, life insurance, and retirement. You will also be eligible to earn annual leave and sick leave.

You may qualify at the AD-03, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

• Earned a terminal degree/doctorate from a regionally or nationally accredited institution of higher education (or international equivalent) in an appropriate social science or related discipline that is relevant to the DSCU mission.
• Five (5) years of experience with the practice, training, or study of security cooperation or related field. Experience in government, military, private sector, or academia shall be of sufficient depth or breadth as to establish professional expertise in the delivery of education on national security, foreign policy, and related subjects.
• Documented intellectual contributions to scholarship in areas of expertise through peer reviewed publications and presentations at notable academic conferences
