Job summary

Brigham Young University in Provo, UT invites applications for a full-time, continuing-status track position in Wildlife and Wildlands Conservation. The successful candidate will teach 3-4 courses per year and develop a graduate course in their area of expertise.

The candidate will establish a research program, publish in peer-reviewed journals, mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and serve on university committees. A Ph.D. and strong teaching record are required.

The Department of Plant and Wildlife Sciences at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah invites applications for a full-time, continuing-status track position in Wildlife and Wildlands Conservation. The successful candidate will teach 3-4 courses per year. Potential courses include Principles of Wildlife and Fisheries Management, Techniques for Wildlife Investigations and Management, Introduction to Wildlife and Wildlands Conservation, Conservation of Carnivores, Mammalogy, Ornithology, Safety Certifications for Field Biologists, Fisheries and Wetlands Management, etc. The successful candidate will also develop a graduate course in their area of expertise. The candidate will develop a research program in his or her area of expertise, and must produce high-quality scholarship, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and mentor graduate and undergraduate students in research. The candidate will also be expected to serve on department-, college-, and/or university-level committees, and be professionally active in his or her respective discipline. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and relevant research experience and a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring—especially at the undergraduate level.
