Job summary

Southeastern University is seeking a Nursing Faculty member in the Medical/Surgical specialization of the BSN program. This is a full‑time, 12‑month teaching position with a teaching load of 27 hours per academic year.

In addition to teaching, the faculty member will serve on committees and fulfill other duties assigned by the chief nurse administrator. Instruction will primarily focus on the BSN program, with possible teaching in the ADN program.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Doctorate in Nursing preferred.
• Unencumbered FL RN license.
• Minimum 5 years RN experience.
• Preferred: medical-surgical, critical-care, and 2 years nursing education experience.
• Teaching and advising; simulation/lab proficiency; cross-curriculum teaching.
• Commitment to teaching in a Christian university and alignment with SEU’s mission.

• Classroom and clinical teaching.

• Committee responsibilities, as designated.
• Program development responsibilities that correlate with level of experience.
• Attendance at university functions, faculty meetings, and other events as required.

• Experience (Preferred): Medical‑surgical experience; critical‑care experience; minimum 2 years nursing education experience.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Required): Teaching and advising; simulation/lab proficiency; medical‑surgical and critical‑care knowledge; ability to teach across the curriculum; personal commitment to teaching in a Christian university and alignment with SSEU’s mission.
