Job summary

UT Health Tyler, affiliated with UT Tyler School of Medicine, seeks a faculty anesthesiologist to join the academic program and provide perioperative care in a Level I Trauma Center in Tyler, Texas.

You will teach AN, IM, and FM residents, participate in a busy schedule with in-house call, and engage in education, patient care, and research within an active academic environment.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Completion of an accredited anesthesia residency.
• Interest in academic medicine and resident education.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for trauma, obstetric and surgical cases in a Level I Trauma Center.
• Teach AN, IM, and FM residents as part of the academic program.
• Participate in patient care, research, and departmental education initiatives.

About the Position

• 42 weeks of Service & 10 weeks off
• Cases: Trauma, Endo, GS, Vas, ENT, OBGYN, Neuro, Ortho, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Podiatry
• In-house 24 HR call is 1:12
• Post-Call Day Off
• 9-11 Physicians Per Day
• Teaching responsibilities may include participation service with AN, IM, & FM Residents
