Position: Full-Time Community Health Instructor

The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions has openings for a full-time instructor to teach Community Health in the ABSN Program. As a faculty member, you will provide instruction using innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline.

Schedule and Benefits

Schedule: Remote, Full-time, Mon-Fri, 8am to 5pm AZ time

Responsibilities

1. Teach online undergraduate courses and develop engaging activities that focus on application of content and stimulate discussions.
2. Develop and deliver instruction that incorporates current methodologies, technologies, and trends in Community Health.
3. Foster and promote an online learning culture.
4. Administer and grade examinations, assignments, discussion forums, and participation, meeting deadlines.
5. Mentor students outside of class hours and provide additional support for student success.
6. Assist with curriculum design and development; advocate for program and pedagogical improvements.
7. Participate in college or university committees to advance educational goals.
8. Provide leadership and mentorship to adjunct faculty.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MSN) required; Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) preferred.
• At least 2 years of direct patient care in Home Health, Community, or Public Health.
• Active, current, and unencumbered RN license in AZ or a compact state.
• Experience teaching in a nursing program and online required.
• Evidence of professional involvement (e.g., memberships, presentations, research, publications).
• Support for the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission.
