Job summary

NC Community Colleges is seeking a full-time accounting faculty member in Kentucky to uphold high academic standards and professional service. The position requires at least 40 hours weekly devoted to direct instruction, preparation and evaluation of work, student accessibility, committee work, advising, and college/community service.

Preferred candidates hold a master’s degree in accounting or an MBA with 18 graduate hours in accounting from a regionally accredited school.

Qualifications

• Teaching experience in higher education.
• Experience with experiential learning and assessment techniques.
• Advanced communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal) skills.
• Knowledge of the ACBSP process and QM certification is desirable.
• Fluency in Spanish.

Responsibilities

Position Description

A full time faculty member is expected to maintain high standards of professionalism and high academic standards of professionalism and high academic standards. At least 40 hours per week are to be spent in the following: direct instruction; preparation and evaluation of instruction; accessibility to students; committee assignments; advising and service to the college and community. Faculty may be assigned a teaching schedule that includes any college location, and at times that meet student, program and college needs.
