Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
Design, develop, implement, and maintain control algorithms for FACTS applications.
Program and configure the MACH control system to meet customer and project requirements.
Perform control logic development, debugging, testing, and deployment activities.
Conduct Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing using real-time simulators.
Create models and simulations for power electronics and power system applications.
Support factory acceptance testing, commissioning activities, and site startup efforts.
Prepare technical documentation, customer submittals, test procedures, and test records.
Collaborate with project teams, customers, and global engineering groups to deliver successful project outcomes.
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Power Systems, Power Electronics, Control Theory, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of controls engineering experience, preferably within power systems applications.
2+ years of programming experience with the ability to work across multiple programming environments and languages.
Experience designing and testing PI, PID, or similar control algorithms.
Strong knowledge of power systems, control theory, and power electronics applications.
Experience with MATLAB, real-time simulators, or similar modeling and simulation tools. FACTS, HVDC, or utility power systems experience is highly preferred.
