Job Description

Intel Foundry is building the future of semiconductor manufacturing.

As Intel continues to accelerate its foundry strategy, we are seeking an exceptional Factory Manager to help lead one of the world's most sophisticated semiconductor manufacturing operations. This executive leadership role will oversee a large-scale manufacturing organization responsible for delivering world-class safety, quality, yield, velocity, cost, and customer commitments while helping shape the future of advanced semiconductor manufacturing.

This is a rare opportunity to lead at the intersection of manufacturing excellence, technology innovation, and business performance.

Why This Role Matters

Intel already possesses deep manufacturing expertise. What makes this opportunity unique is the need for a leader who can combine operational excellence with a proven ability to drive manufacturing performance through yield improvement, technology ramp execution, and large-scale organizational leadership.

We are looking for an executive who understands the physics behind semiconductor manufacturing, can lead thousands of employees through complexity and change, and has successfully transitioned advanced technologies from development into high-volume production. Candidates who can demonstrate ownership of both factory operations and yield performance will be especially compelling.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead a large-scale semiconductor manufacturing organization supporting advanced process technologies.
  • Drive safety, quality, die yield, line yield, productivity, velocity, cost, and customer commitments.
  • Lead technology transfer, qualification, and manufacturing ramp activities from development through high-volume production.
  • Partner closely with technology development, engineering, supply chain, equipment suppliers, and manufacturing teams to accelerate factory performance.
  • Improve factory economics through productivity improvements, cost management, equipment utilization, automation, and operational discipline.
  • Build and develop high-performing organizations while creating a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare manufacturing operations to support future technology nodes and foundry customer requirements.
What Will Make You Successful

The strongest candidates bring a combination of:

  • Large-Scale Leadership: Experience leading complex manufacturing organizations of approximately 1,500 to 2,000+ employees, including cross-functional teams operating in highly demanding manufacturing environments.
  • Yield and Quality Ownership: Direct accountability for yield improvement, defect reduction, reliability, quality, and factory performance. You understand not only what results were achieved, but how those results were delivered through technical and operational leadership.
  • High-Volume Manufacturing Expertise: Experience operating fabs producing high wafer volumes while balancing productivity, equipment performance, output, quality, cost, and workforce priorities.
  • Manufacturing Ramp Leadership: A track record of successfully transferring technology from development into production and scaling operations to achieve high-volume manufacturing targets.
  • Business and Operational Acumen: Strong understanding of factory economics, operational trade-offs, manufacturing constraints, and the decisions required to deliver world-class performance across multiple competing priorities.
Preferred Background

We're particularly interested in leaders who have experience in:

  • Advanced-node logic manufacturing. Logic manufacturing at current-generation, N-1, or N-2 technologies or large-scale memory manufacturing environments.
  • Organizations requiring close interaction between technology development and manufacturing teams.
  • Manufacturing environments where yield, quality, productivity, equipment performance, and customer commitments are managed simultaneously.
  • Experience with automation initiatives that improve factory performance and productivity is a plus.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, or Chemistry) and/or Science (Physics or Chemistry)
  • 15+ years of semiconductor manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Significant experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Experience leading large manufacturing organizations.
  • Experience in factory module equipment and yield
  • Demonstrated ownership of manufacturing performance metrics including yield, quality, reliability, productivity, and cost.
  • Technology transfer and manufacturing ramp experience.
  • Strong technical foundation in semiconductor manufacturing, process technology, equipment, and factory operations.
