Job summary

Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies in Littleton, CO is hiring a Factory Buyer to manage supplier relationships and execute purchasing and forecasting through SAP. You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering and Sales to meet demand and drive cost savings in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

We seek analytical, detail-oriented professionals with 1–2 years in a hi-volume setting and a Bachelor’s degree (chemistry/medical device background preferred).

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions.
  • Chemistry / medical device background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of vendors and drive material supply in alignment with factory demand.
  • Execute the SIOP demand plan through SAP to ensure material availability for factory builds.
  • Conduct weekly supplier reviews to maintain on-time delivery performance, focusing on service and delivery targets.
  • Issue rolling forecasts and purchase orders to the supply base in a timely manner to support flexible production planning and material supply.
  • Use SAP to generate reports and extract data for forecasting, supply, and materials planning.
  • Manage new product introduction projects, including the approval and implementation of new SKUs and suppliers.
  • Ensure accurate pricing and supply data are maintained in SAP for all purchases.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings across the supply chain.
  • Develop strong relationships with other internal functions including Quality, Engineering, Production, and Sales teams.

As a Factory Buyer, you will manage supplier relationships, execute purchasing and forecasting activities through SAP, and collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Sales teams to meet customer demand. Essential Duties

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
  • Chemistry / medial device background preferred.
Experience
  • 1-2 years experience preferred.
  • Experience gained within a hi-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles preferred.
Skills
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong data management and analytical skills.
  • Adaptable, flexible and able to work with minimum supervision while prioritizing tasks.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Memberships of CPIM & CSCP preferred.

Target Pay Range: $58,000.00 to $72,500.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data

Target Bonus on Base: 7.0%
