Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) in Austin, TX, is seeking a Facility Trainer to design and deliver training for new hires and tenured staff. The role emphasizes regulatory and practical instruction, with a compensation of $25.00/hourly and a focus on safety.

The trainer will create milestones, conduct skills assessments, coordinate trainings and maintain accurate records. A HS Diploma or GED is required, with WFS Instructor Certification preferred and 6 months of related experience advantageous.

  • Current qualification and experience on training subject or learning plan is expected.

Job Summary

Responsible for providing training for new hires and tenured employees through various learning methods.

Compensation: $25.00/hourly

Responsibilities
  • Provides company, regulatory, carrier or practical training for individual or group settings to new hire as well as tenured employees.
  • Creates milestones to be achieved through training methods and create training plans.
  • Conducts skill needs assessments to identify specific skill/knowledge gaps, training objectives, work situations and changes in training policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates trainings and re-certifications, ensuring training is designed, delivered and evaluated for consistency.
  • Observes employees to determine the effectiveness of training programs and ensure that any additional training requirements are fulfilled.
  • Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and Safety Manager.
  • Maintains training rosters and records with trainees and complies with appropriate training recordkeeping requirements.
  • HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months related operational experience preferred.
  • WFS or Carrier Instructor Certification.
  • Current qualification and experience on training subject or learning plan.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Reach above and/or below shoulder.
  • Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
  • Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
  • Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
  • Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
  • Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
