Responsibilities
- Building Maintenance: The Facility Technician is responsible for the operation, repair, and maintenance of the facility’s water, gas, heating, and ventilation systems, covering all buildings within the premises.
- Spare Parts: Forecast, order, and maintain stock of supplies necessary for ongoing repairs, including consumables such as pipe clamps and sealants.
- Major Repairs and Investments: Support the Facility Maintenance Supervisor in carrying out planned major repairs and investment projects, assisting in developing plans to complete work with minimal disruption to production operations.
- Contractors: Cooperate with external contractors when necessary and supervise them while on site.
- Production Support: Coordinate required facility maintenance activities in real time in cooperation with the Production Supervisor, prioritizing tasks to minimize production disruption.
- Order and Cleanliness: Ensure all areas are cleaned at the end of a shift or project and that no tools or obstructions are left behind.
- Workplace Safety: Adhere to safety regulations by isolating systems before work, providing ladders or platforms, and having fire protection equipment on standby during hot work.
- Environmental Protection: Comply with the company’s health, safety, and environmental regulations while performing duties.
- Tools: Maintain a properly equipped workshop; ensure all tools are functional, calibrating devices per manufacturer recommendations.
- Reporting: Report all significant malfunctions to the supervisor, including causes, duration, and involved personnel.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certified Machine Mechanic / Maintenance Fitter
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar field
