Job summary

Paycom - ATS seeks a Facilities Technician to join the Administration & Property Management team. The FT will manage HVAC, pool systems, and general repairs, coordinating procurement, and maintaining safety standards.

Strong time management and communication are essential to support daily operations and after-hours on-call rotations. Ideal candidates have at least four years in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related trades, plus certifications such as CPO/AFO.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of four years displaying competency in general plumbing, electrical, carpentry and basic trade knowledge.
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, basic schematics and equipment manuals.
  • Certifications such as, but not limited to: Certified Pool Operator (CPO), Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO).
  • Eligible to work in the United States; pass Background Check.

Responsibilities

  • Assure proper functioning of building systems including HVAC, water bodies, utilities and environmental services.
  • Manage routine and specialized swimming pool maintenance and compliance.
  • Rebuild and repair equipment, structures and furniture; prepare surfaces for painting.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, MSDS binders, and warranty information for compliance.
  • Provide after-hours on-call availability as needed.
  • Develop and implement logistical workflows for efficient facility operation.
  • Oversee stock of supplies and equipment procurement processes.
  • Conduct daily facility rounds to ensure cleanliness and equipment function.

MAIN FUNCTION:The Facilities Technician (FT) is a key member of the Center operational team and specifically the Facilities Department. The FT will display a concentrated knowledge of specific facilities and property management matters including, but not limited to: minor equipment/property renovations/repair, troubleshooting appliances and building systems, handling preventative maintenance tasks and coordinating Material Management related tasks such as equipment procurement and contracted vendor relations. It is paramount this position exhibits excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills alongside the ability to effectively manage time and organize operational logistics.DEPARTMENT: Administration & Property ManagementREPORTS TO: General ManagerDIRECT REPORTS: NonePOSITION EXPECTATIONS:Applied (Programming)Assure proper functioning of the physical plant building systems including but not limited to HVAC, bodies of water, utilities and environmental services.Manage routine and specialized swimming pool maintenance on pools, equipment, aquatics pool/boiler rooms, pool filtration, and ozone systems; coordinates pool chemistry management and health code compliance.Rebuild and repair equipment, structures and furniture; prepare surfaces for painting and apply surface coverings as required.Working knowledge of the fire, life safety, and other safety programs of the facility, and ensure other members of the on-site staff follow the safety programs.Administrative (Operations)Provides monthly reporting to the General Manager as requested specific to equipment repair status, supplies inventory, warranty and PM programming and capital replacement plans. Additional reporting as requested.Develop and implement logistical workflows needed to achieve an effective and efficient operation related to managing the facility.Oversee maintenance of adequate stock of supplies and materials; assist with equipment procurement and supply ordering process.Ensure workshop/storage areas are organized, clean and safe.Maintain accurate and comprehensive maintenance logs, MSDS binders, warranty information needed for health department code and manufacturer guideline compliance.Assist with development of Emergency Response Planning and adherence to OSHA Safety Standards.Responsible for the timely completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.Provide availability for after-hours on call rotation responsibilities as appropriate and assigned.Management (Customer Relations/Team Performance)Contribute to achieving a consistently excellent member experience resulting in high member satisfaction ratings and low member attrition.Address all member and staff concerns as well as any other issues that directly affect the membership, staff, facility, and/or programs by providing a prompt and customer- friendly response.Demonstrate the ability to manage crucial conversations with conflict resolution and problem solving skills.Demonstrate the ability to be acutely aware of the factors that contribute to a consistently excellent member experience.
