Job summary

Broadridge is seeking a Security Officer in New York to maintain security and safety at our facilities. You will monitor access, report alarms, conduct patrols, and coordinate with the Security Management Team to resolve issues.

The role requires a High School diploma and at least three years in security, plus basic MS Office skills and strong communication. CPR is preferred; shifts are Mon-Fri 12:00–20:00 with possible changes and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required with a minimum of three years of experience in the security field.
• Ability to communicate orally with other Security and Facility personnel and in the written form in a clear and concise manner.
• Must be vigilant, reporting any security issues or incidents.
• Knowledge of filing and phone courtesy is required.
• Ability to use basic PC applications including typing, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
• CPR qualified preferred.

Responsibilities

• The physical security of the site in regards to protection of assets and personnel; monitor and control access into the facility.
• Monitor and report event alarms triggered on the access control or CCTV systems; issue IDs/badges and maintain logs.
• Respond, evaluate and resolve alarms received at the console monitoring station.
• Conduct roving patrol inspections and notify proper authority of issues or policy breaches.
• Keep the Security Management Team informed of security matters and perform duties as assigned.
• Work from Monday to Friday 12 pm to 8 pm with potential shift changes; travel may be required.
