We are seeking a Facility Procurement Manager to lead procurement functions for Caterpillar Defense. This role will support U.S. and UK based Cat Defense products and teams and interactions closely with members of the broader Procurement organization.
Leading the execution of delivering a lean, responsive, and resilient material and services flow for the facility from source to dock and additional required points.
Managing a global team that is responsible for operating and monitoring the supply network procurement functions to meet the defined response time, cost, quality, and lean targets enabling optimal and efficient facility operations.
Ensuring the supplier network is capable of meeting the business unit’s specific Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, Management (QCLDM) requirements.
Collaborating with business partners and suppliers and resolving facility specific supplier issues.

Knowledge of policies, regulations and processes of purchasing; ability to use practices and procedures for procurement of materials, components, equipment and services.
Works with the implementation of complex purchasing programs and tasks.
Advises on the appropriate solutions to complex purchasing activity problems. Monitors the effectiveness of procurement policies and strategies in high cost purchases.
Improves procurement processes to maximize products or services efficiency and effectiveness.
Teaches others how to use advanced technologies and tools for purchasing activities.
Evaluates issues and considerations for purchasing various goods and services.
