What We Offer

The Facility President is responsible for the overall operations of the facility and all operating divisions. The Facility President ensures organizational integrity, the provision of high-quality, efficient operations, financial results and the development and implementation of a strategic plan that aligns with the mission and vision of Novant Health. The role will also be responsible for the strategic plan and execution of coordinated service delivery for rural healthcare in contiguous counties. The Facility President is responsible for the integration of hospital operations, community medicine, institutes and innovation centers to successfully deploy and implement strategic initiatives in a meaningful and effective way to achieve optimal outcomes for the facility and the organization as a whole. The role must balance the authority of the role with direct leadership and oversight of leaders and front-line team members within the facility to the influential oversight of other corporate and indirect reporting relationships.

What You'll Do

The Facility President is responsible for the overall strategic, operational, financial, and clinical performance of the hospital. This executive provides visionary leadership while fostering a culture centered on quality, safety, innovation, accountability, and remarkable patient and team member experiences.

Responsibilities include:

• Leads with Vision - Creates a facility vision and translates strategy into implementation. Anticipates internal and external threats and opportunities to adapt as needed to create successful outcomes. Creates an environment that encourages innovation and risk-taking to achieve the vision.
• Communicates Effectively - Actively listens and seeks ideas and input from others. Encourages open, timely and transparent two-way communication and exchange of ideas. Successfully onboards and develops an engaging atmosphere with medical staff/physicians, team members, and the community.
• Focuses on Quality, Safety, and Human Experience - Commits to high-quality, safe, and remarkable patient care in every dimension, every time. Strives for excellent outcomes and promotes the expectation of achieving the highest standards and quality measures. Partners with Quality, Regulatory and Compliance, Legal and other corporate departments to ensure the facility achieves both high reliability and compliance with outside agencies.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / bachelor's degree - Healthcare / Business Administration or Related field, required. Graduate Degree - Healthcare / Business Administration or Related field, required.
• Experience: 2+ years hospital president experience and working knowledge of all aspects of a large, integrated health system, required. Ideal candidate will have 6-8 years experience in acute care operations, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; possess knowledge of current leadership, management, and business concepts, and the ability to participate in developing and implementing organizational strategies to address opportunities to improve organizational performance.; possess the educational and experiential requirements of leadership; possess personal / professional / educational attributes as defined by federal, state, local laws and regulations.
