Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of four years plumbing experience with demonstrated competence.
• Utah State Plumbing Licensure is highly preferred.
• Trade-specific certifications (e.g. back-flow, gas technician) preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Basic knowledge of State and city codes.
• Ability to read, write and do math.
• Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently.
• Must have valid Utah Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform journey-level duties in assembly, installation, troubleshooting and repair of gas and water plumbing systems.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as pumps, boilers and tanks.
• Service or replace valves, switches, pumps, drains and related components.
• Test backflow and fire suppression systems.
• Locates and orders parts and materials for assignments.
• Complete tasks in a cost-efficient and timely manner.
• Provide support to other facility areas as needed.
• Assess equipment safety and make repairs; follow safety procedures.
• Respond to facility emergencies; may require shift work or on-call.
• Drive facility vehicle to work sites and inspect vehicles.
• Maintain punctual daily attendance.
