Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a candidate to support the Facility Operations Center responsible for 24x7 monitoring of data center infrastructure. This role ensures availability and reliability by coordinating with on-site teams and enforcing Change Management policies.

Responsibilities include alarm handling, RAID responses, and maintaining clear communications during emergency and normal operations. A US Citizen with TS/SCI clearance is required.

Competenze

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in technical support, or troubleshooting and documenting findings.
• 1+ years of customer facing IT role or physical security systems/infrastructure work experience.
• Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance.

The Data Center Infrastructure Operations organization is looking for an individual with proven skills to help support our Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Facility Operations Center. The Facility Operations Center is responsible for 24X7 monitoring of the data center's physical infrastructure. This team will ensure that the customer experience will be optimal and gratifying by way of consistency, reliability and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of Data Center Infrastructure as well as have proficient computer and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assistance and support to the onsite operations teams. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Key job responsibilities

A day in the life

The Facility Operations Center (FOC) serves as the centralized 24/7 remote monitoring center for AWS data center's critical physical facilities infrastructure systems.

We support availability by assisting internal teams in communicating prompt and accurate alarm and event notifications.

The FOC ensures safety across all AWS data centers by enforcing Change Management policies and is the communication hub during emergency and normal operations.

About the team

The Facility Operations Center (FOC) is a singular support team which proactively monitor the life-safety systems and the infrastructure equipment alarms (e.g., chillers, temperature sensors, generators, UPSs, switchgear, breakers, PDUs, and ATSs) that provides power and cooling to the platform 24x7x365. We support Data Center Engineer Operations teams who are responsible for the operation of infrastructure equipment. Our role is to ensure that critical alarms are properly Responded to, Acknowledged, Investigated, and Dispatched (RAID). Additionally, the FOC serves as a communications hub during both standard and emergency operations.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience in technical support, or experience troubleshooting and documenting findings
• 1+ years of customer facing IT role or physical security systems/infrastructure work experience
• Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BMS and EPMS control systems and data collection or trending
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• 3+ years of customer service experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
