Job summary

Tyonek Native Corporation seeks an experienced Facility Manager to oversee maintenance, draw facility layouts, and manage UPS/generator systems.   • Proven track record coordinating repairs and managing alterations in compliance with regulations.
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance required; drug-free workplace and testing.

Responsibilities

  • The Facility Manager will provide facility management as directed and maintain facilities.
  • Create facility drawings and oversee UPS, generators, and related responsibilities.
  • Access and use CE Helpdesk, Tririga, or NEXGEN IT to request CE support and manage emergency work orders.
  • Monitor generators, HVAC, UPS and coordinate maintenance with CE or vendors.
  • Inspect facilities for maintenance needs and coordinate repairs with CE or vendors.
  • Ensure alterations to real property comply with regulations and are approved by the Base Civil Engineer.
  • Inspect and coordinate upkeep to maintain a professional and safe environment.
  • Complete minor facility maintenance including moving furniture, replacing bulbs, and assisting with equipment setup.
  • Respond to facility emergencies including outside normal duty hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
  • The Facility Manager will provide facility management as directed. This includes tasks such as maintaining facilities, creating facility drawings, managing uninterruptible power supplies, overseeing generators, and handling related responsibilities.
DUTIES
  • Access and utilize systems like CE Helpdesk, Tririga, or NEXGEN IT for requesting base Civil Engineering (CE) support, escalating tickets when necessary, and managing emergency work orders.
  • Monitor and inspect generators, HVAC systems, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), ensure their maintenance is coordinated with CE or vendors.
  • Inspect facilities for maintenance needs and coordinate repairs with CE or vendors. This includes maintenance of carpets, floor tiles, walls, cabinets, breakroom and bathroom fixtures, electrical fixtures, lighting, and doors.
  • Ensure any alterations to real property comply with regulations and are approved by the Base Civil Engineer.
  • Inspect and coordinate the upkeep of the facility to maintain a professional and safe environment.
  • Complete minor facility maintenance and repair services. Services include, but are not limited to, tasks such as moving and assembling furniture, hanging bulletin boards and/or other objects, replacing light bulbs or ceiling tiles, performing minor repairs to walls and fixtures, and assisting with equipment setup. The scope of this requirement is limited to minor maintenance and repair.
  • Respond to facility emergencies including outside-of standard duty hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/ REQUIREMENTS
  • Facility Management Professional (FMP) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM): A current certification in one of these is mandatory to ensure proficiency in facility management standards and practices.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in facility management.
  • Experience with maintenance and operations of physical facilities.
  • Familiarity with power systems such as generators and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).
  • Knowledge of managing facility diagrams, including layouts for electrical systems, HVAC, and cabling.
  • Practical experience using facility management tools or systems like CE Helpdesk, Tririga, or NEXGEN IT.
  • Proven track record of coordinating repairs, inspecting facilities, and managing alterations in compliance with regulations.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience working with Base Civil Engineering (CE) teams or similar government entities. Familiarity with regulations and compliance requirements for facility maintenance and alterations.
  • Top Secret Clearance/SCI required.
