Job summary

The Facility Maintenance Worker at NHRA's Gainesville Raceway is responsible for maintaining the property, including the track and buildings, reporting to the Operations & Facility Supervisor. This role supports overall facility operations to ensure a premier racing environment.

  • Must have a high school diploma.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Experience in a maintenance position is a plus.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Must maintain a high quality in all work including accuracy and timeliness.
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively with clients and all levels of management both in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, run, climb stairs, or lift as needed.
  • Able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to work outdoors sometimes in extreme temperatures

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all aspects of the Gainesville Raceway property, including the racing track, buildings, and associated facilities.
  • Perform general facility maintenance tasks including painting interior and exterior surfaces, structures, and equipment.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and public facilities to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Operate pressure washing equipment to clean buildings, walkways, parking areas, and other surfaces.
  • Maintain, clean, and perform minor repairs on facility vehicles and equipment.
  • Conduct track maintenance activities to ensure safe racing conditions and proper surface integrity.
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and maintaining fixtures.
  • Execute landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, edging, and maintaining grounds aesthetics.
  • Perform general grounds upkeep including trash removal, debris clearing, and maintaining cleanliness of outdoor areas.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and facility issues in a timely manner.
  • Report maintenance concerns and facility needs to the Operations & Facility Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall facility operations.

Position Summary

The Facility Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the Gainesville Raceway property which includes the track and buildings, and reports to the Operations & Facility Supervisor. This role is responsible for general facility maintenance which includes painting, cleaning restrooms, pressure washing, cleaning, vehicles and track maintenance, plumbing, landscaping and general grounds upkeep. Additional duties as needed.
