Job summary

Jet Aviation in Dallas, TX is seeking a part-time Facility Maintenance Operator to maintain the working space, clean offices and restrooms, and ensure all facilities run smoothly. You will inspect systems, coordinate contractors, and manage routine GSE maintenance, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, basic knowledge of electrical/plumbing/HVAC, and the ability to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal utilization of the organization’s facilities.
  • Assess and evaluate physical space requirements and recommend plans.
  • Ensure proper functioning of facilities through inspection and maintenance.
  • Coordinate contractors for servicing and repairs.
  • Perform or coordinate scheduled and unscheduled GSE maintenance.
  • Maintain current facility permits.
  • Manage facility maintenance inspections and ensure compliance with policy and regulations.
  • Respond to tenants’ needs professionally.
  • Maintain facility appearance at all times.
  • Ensure all systems work properly.
  • Represent Jet Aviation with internal and external stakeholders.

Position Summary

The Facility Maintenance Operator is responsible for the overall maintenance of the working space for the business, cleaning the facility offices, restrooms, partial areas of the hangar, removing debris, and keeping all areas neat and tidy.

Work Schedule & Compensation

Part‑time: 22 hours per week. Schedule: Monday – Saturday 7pm‑11pm; Friday 7pm‑11pm; Saturday 7pm‑11pm; Sunday Off.

Salary: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour ($39,520 – $41,600 annually) plus performance‑based bonus up to 5%.

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air conditioning and irrigation systems
  • Ability to perform other tasks as assigned
  • Willingness to work flexible hours — rain or shine.
  • Must obtain an Airport ID Badge within 30 days of employment
Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure the optimal utilization of the organization’s facilities.
  • Assess and evaluate the physical space requirements of the organization and recommend plans to meet needs.
  • Ensure proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance.
  • Contact and coordinate contractors as required for servicing and repairs.
  • Perform or contract scheduled and unscheduled GSE maintenance.
  • Make sure facility permits are current.
  • Manage facility maintenance inspection program and ensure inspections are completed in a timely manner to maintain compliance with company policy and local regulations.
  • Respond to tenants’ needs in a professional manner.
  • Maintain appearance of the facility at all times.
  • Make sure all systems work properly.
  • Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircraft arrive or depart; vibration is frequent; occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. The employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions, and the hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
