Job summary

CloudKitchens is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform hands-on repairs and preventative maintenance across multiple sites in the Greater Bay Area. This role combines drywall, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work with site operations support to keep kitchens fully operational.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in handyman or facilities work, can work independently, hold a valid driver’s license, and are willing to travel between sites with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site environments.
• HVAC/R experience or trade school background.
• Field-based role across the Greater Bay Area.
• Local travel between sites (home daily).
• On-call rotation and overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including drywall, patching, and painting.
• Tiling and basic masonry.
• Shelving and equipment installation.
• Floor repairs and upkeep.
• Exterior maintenance (roofs, gutters, landscaping).
• Conduct routine maintenance on building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical.
• Identify issues early and prevent costly breakdowns.
• Travel between multiple sites across the Greater Bay Area.
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day facility issues.
• Partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational.

What you’ll do

Facilities Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including:
• Drywall, patching, and painting
• Tiling and basic masonry
• Shelving and equipment installation

Preventative Maintenance

Site Operations Support

• Travel between multiple sites(number of sites vary by region) throughout the week across the Greater Bay area
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day facility issues
• Partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational

What your week looks like

• 60% hands-on repairs and maintenance
• 25% preventative maintenance
• 15% inspections, troubleshooting, and support

What we’re looking for

Required

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred

• 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site environments
